Background

Since 1992 AirClean Systems has been designing and manufacturing ductless fume hoods for laboratory and industrial settings.  AirClean Systems products are used by major pharmaceutical companies, petroleum companies, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, schools, colleges, universities, and medical institutions worldwide.

AirClean Systems is currently developing its second generation of products and advanced controllers.  The new products will feature expanded feature sets and a refreshed user interface.  AirClean Systems is currently looking for an intern to join the engineering team to help bring our new products to the marketplace.

Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Have an expected graduation date in 2023 or 2024 (juniors and seniors)
  • Be pursuing a degree in Electrical, Computer, Software Engineer, Computer Science, or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Working knowledge of C
  • Working knowledge of Electronics
  • Can follow instructions, ask questions, and is willing to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with embedded development for microcontrollers
  • Experience with source control (ex: git, GitLab, GitHub, SVN, etc.)
  • Prior experience with circuit board design (Altium Designer/ KiCAD)
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Experience with Python/ C++/ C#

Responsibilities

  • Able to commit 20-40 hours/ week
  • Assists the engineering team in technical support
  • Perform testing on new software releases
  • Architect, design, and perform testing for new product verification
  • Writing embedded software in C to add features to our controllers
  • Debugging of systems, electronics, software
