Marketing Manager

Job Summary

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for providing overall leadership for the day to day marketing campaigns.  This position will manage all marketing personnel.  The Marketing Manager will ensure projects are completed in a timely and highest quality manner.  The Marketing Manager will collaborate with the team and senior management on best practices and strategies to drive revenue and customer engagement through promotional, triggered, and lifecycle marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns utilizing the company’s ESP, marketing automation and other software.  

  • Design, build, maintain and optimize HTML emails and email templates constantly; improve email processes and efficiency.

  • Drive mobile design and innovation; ensure emails are viewable on mobile devices. 

  • Work closely with VP of Marketing and the marketing team on implementing brand standards in email communication.

  • Initiate marketing campaigns in order to ensure maximum outreach and ROI through A/B testing or other industry recognized standards of practice.

  • Develop and maintain email brand guidelines and design best practices.

  • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling.

  • Include persuasive 'call-to-actions' in advertisements and promotions.

  • Track and analyze direct and interactive marketing campaigns.

  • Use statistical analysis and reports to create campaigns.

  • Coordinate and monitor the maintenance, integrity, and security of several databases including purging non-deliverable email addresses and opt-outs.

  • Develop and maintain list segmentation for all direct and interactive marketing campaigns and provide requirements to vendor(s).

  • Have an ability to hold one-self accountable and an aptitude for prioritizing multiple projects.

  • Manager SEO campaigns for optimization and performance.

Experience / Education

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Digital Marketing, Advertising, Web Design, Interactive Media, Communications or a related field and/or five years of hands on experience working with an ESP

  • Experience with Web Frameworks (Front-end, MVC, etc.).

  • Ability to work efficiently and flawlessly meeting deadlines.

  • Strong written and communication skills; highly collaborative

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with JavaScript, PHP, JQuery and the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • HTML5/CSS3 skills Web design experience.

  • Experience with HubSpot.

  • Experience with PHP Web Frameworks such as Laravel

  • jQuery and AJAX experience.

  • Experience with relational databases and SQL. 

 

Location

This position will be based at our headquarters located in Creedmoor, NC.

 

Terms of employment

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.   

 

Hours

The core hours shall be Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm.  As a salaried employee you are expected to work at least forty (40) hours per week.  Our flex schedule policy applies to you.  You can flex around the core hours listed above to complete the remaining required hours in the office.   You have the discretion for lunch and other breaks

Work is regularly performed in an office environment.

Some travel required; not to exceed 5% in the US only.
